Was born on a nomadic family of  Muslim Somali Darod Clan. Born in 1965 when she was three years was genitally mutilated. At the age of 9 was given  to a mam much older than her in an arranged marriage. In 1981 she moved to London. She worked on a MacDonald's. She meet Terence Donovan and she became model.
